The role of technical assistant is to perform a range of business support and administrative activities to ensure the efficient running of sludge intersite and the biosolids recycling operation across the Thames Water estate. This role will not only be providing support to our recycling operations but linking into the development and implementation of an environmental management system across the wastewater business.

What will this role involve?
Contractor data input, analysis and verification from haulage, spreading and intersite operations.
Creating contractor payments based on verified haulage data.
Checking regulatory compliance from haulage data and reporting.
Provide office support including procurement, invoicing, safeguard reporting, registering waste exemptions with the environment agency and processing samples for analysis.
You will also be required to attend regular meetings with our contractors so own transport is essential.
Assist team to ensure compliance reporting for the biosolids assurance scheme and management systems are c ompleted to maintain accreditation.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for strong attention to detail, good keyboard skills, analytical approach with a flexible can do attitude. We can offer you a wide-ranging role which offers variety and development. To be successful in this position, ideally you will have experience in a similar environment and you will work well under pressure to deadlines. Knowledge of wastewater processes, environmental legislation and management systems would be beneficial but not essential. Due to the nature of the role, a full clean driving licence is required.
Thames Water information and salary details
This role is based at Bracknell sewage treatment works. We are offering a salary of up to £23,000.00, depending on experience an d qualifications.
